2. Crash Reports and Analytics
The developer has integrated third party service Google Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics into the Android apps. This service is used to collect and view anonymous usage stats about how individuals are using the app. Details include app versions, crashes, freezes and critical debug variables to verify app is operating correctly. This service is only implemented to help us improve the app, and it won’t include any of your personal information. 3. App Permissions.
The app requires various user sensitive permissions for their functioning as detailed below:-
Phone permission. This app needs to access state of SIM cards, network and phone for its operation which implies requirement of Phone permissions. This data is not collected or transmitted from the device and is only used for display of information to the user. The user will be prompted for approval at the appropriate point in the app
Location permission. This app also needs to perform Cellular and WiFi scan which automatically implies requirement of Location permissions. Background location access. Displaying the Cellular and Wifi Signal strength details involves accessing cellular/wifi functions which are protected by Location permission. Signal Widgets, notifications, log and alerts are a core feature of this app which need to work in the background and respond while the app is not in use. For correct operation in addition to location permission they also need background location permission. The app uses the sensitive permissions only for the purpose of displaying the signal information.
